 e Henry Purcell (1659-1695) et le livret de Nahum Tate\, dramaturge et po
 ète irlandais\, d’après le Livre IV de l’Énéide de Virgile. C’es
 t à la fois le premier opéra en langue anglaise et le chef-d’œuvre du
  compositeur.\n\nDans cette nouvelle production de Didon et Énée\, Fran
 ck Chartier s’intéresse à l’âme de l’héroïne\, qu’il explore 
 en développant avec les performeurs de Peeping Tom un récit parlé et da
 nsé qui se joue en parallèle et en miroir de l’histoire originelle\, c
 hantée par les solistes et le chœur.\n\nPrécédemment : à Genève Cré
 ation en streaming en mai 2021\, à l’Opéra de Lille en décembre 2021 
 et au Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg en mai 2022.
